Chml srunoc rank changes again

Hello people. just yesterday I was complaining about some chml srucnoc rank changes that don't really make any sense.
Well, Google had even more surprises in store for us. Today when I checked the rankings, I couldn't believe my eyes. My blog dropped on the 3rd position, while another site with very little backlinks, discutii.org , got an amazing bump up to the second chml srucnoc position.
And I'm saying amazing because the amount of links pointing to his site as fairly small, and to top it, the sites that link to him aren't very relevant at all. Eh, damn it :) I'm too busy with my exam this year anyway.
So the top 5 positions are :
1 - chml srucnoc dot com
2 - discutii dot org
3 - this chml srucnoc blog
4 - Ars Aranea page
5 - Nakedman's entry
What's pretty strange, is that in one day, almost 50 000 chml srucnoc pages have been pushed into the G. index, and now google returns 200 000 pages in our contest.
Also, I've noticed that for the "chml srucnoc query ( quotes included ) this blog is in the second place. Still, that's no good.
Have a good day guys, and good luck with your chml srucnoc sites.

Chml srucnoc homepage links

Hello again.
I've noticed a nice thing today while I was taking a peek on my fellow chml srucnoc participants. Eager to do their best, they spy on the top positions, and hoping to rank well, they start to copy things, even when there's no sense in copying some of them.
And when I say this I'm talking about lots of links appearing on chml srucnoc contest pages, leading to the the homepage, with chml srucnoc as the anchor.
To make it clear guys, the links I'm attaching at the end of my every post aren't there because they produce some kind of miracle for my Google ranking, but they're there for a specific reason. And that is because I want to ensure a proper internal linking, so that my chml srucnoc site gets crawled well.
You see, Blogger also has some major downsides, especially when you're trying to build a website that engines would love. Especially, the old Blogger offered very little resources in organizing your blog, good internal linking between posts and so on.
The beta introduces some extra features that might help, like the possibility to use label tags, and they also try to improve the internal linking by adding a navigation bar at the end of the posts, leading to the home page, next and previous posts. Now the thing I don't understand ( beats me ) is that the link that goes to the homepage is going to the homepage, but with index.html to the end ( in the case of my chml srucnoc blog it's something like chml-srucnoc-1.blogspot.com/index.html ) which is no good. So I decided to drop it, and still use my pre Beta way, of a hand made link in every post to my home page.
So if you're doing it for no reason, just because you've seen me doing it, why don't you think again about my reasons :)
Cheers, and good luck with your chml srucnoc pages !

Weird new chml srucnoc rankings

Today I checked some datacenters and saw some pretty strange results on most of them. Guess they will pass through the main google.com tommorow. Basically, what struck me about the new chml srucnoc rankings is the fact that the Ars Aranea website got a very significant G. bump, from the 20th place up onto the 3rd place. Still, I can't seem to find any amount of inbound links that might have caused this. We'll just have to wait a couple of days more, and see if his chml srucnoc position is stable, or if it was just a Google fluke :)
Also, shogun's site is now on the 5th position, which I find, again, quite strange. We'll just wait and see what's up with these new chml srucnoc positions.
So overall, here's how the things stand :
1 - chmlsrucnoc.com
2 - this chml srucnoc blog
3 - aranea.zuavra.net/index.php/74/ ?!
4 - Nakedman's chml srucnoc website
5 - toplist.lx.ro ?!
Also, I've noticed that Google has started to push some of my blog posts in the index almost daily, and now, the site: command returns 18 pages for my chml srucnoc site. Great ( I hope :D )
Good luck guys ! Have a good day.

Average Chml srucnoc positions

Hello again. Today I decided to take a look at the average chml srucnoc positions of the top 5 websites in Google, taking into consideration the website rankings in MSN and Yahoo too.
To make it clear for everybody, I'll be using the tool at shoemoney.com/serps.php
The currently number one in Google, drhyperlaur, with chml srucnoc dot com gets first place in Google, 4th place in MSN and 8th place in Yahoo, which gives him an average of 4.33.
This chml srucnoc blog 2nd in Google, first in MSN and 7th in Yahoo, with an average of 3.33, while the second runner up, Nakedman is 4th in Google, 34th in MSN and 36th in Yahoo, giving him a chml srucnoc average position of 24.66.
www.chml-srucnoc-chml.com is 6th in Google, 3rd in MSN and in the 33rd position in Yahoo, translated into an average of 14, and finally, www.chmlsrucnoc.net is 8th in the big G, 7th in MSN and 11th in Yahoo, giving him a chml srucnoc average of 8.66.
Now that we have all this data, let's see what we can make out of it.
Obviously, what everybody wants most is to be in the top 3 positions, so what we're aiming for is a lower average on all 3 engines.
To order them by average, the 5 chml srucnoc websites in Google are these :
1 - this chml srucnoc blog, with 3.33
2 - drhyperlaur with 4.33
3 - chml srucnoc dot net, with an average of 8.66
4 - chml-srucnoc-chml.com with a round 14
5 - Nakedman's chml srucnoc entry, with 24.66
Of course, the chml srucnoc contest only cares about the rankings in Google, but when you're building a real life website you should be concerned about your position in all of the 3 major engines, as they can all bring significant amounts of traffic. Still, no doubt about it, Google is, and probably will be for a long time from now, the biggest and most important se, and that's probably why the chml team have chosen to only take in consideration the chml srucnoc results in the big G.
Good luck to everybody. Have a good day !

Yahoo rank increase

If you've read my previous chml srucnoc posts, you've probably seen me complaining about the fact that Yahoo isn't seeing the redirect from my previous site corectly, and that it still hadn't indexed my new site. A couple of weeks later, I saw that although this chml srucnoc blog was in the Yahoo index, the old site wasn't yet out, and actually kept it's old ranking before the redirect, while this blog had a terrible rank.
This morning today I did a quick check on the major engines, I saw that Yahoo had finally gotten my redirect right, and that this blog is finally ranking pretty good for the chml srucnoc search phrase in Yahoo too.
It took a little while ( close to two months actually ), but seems that Yahoo isn't that stupid after all.
Plus, this whole chml srucnoc rank boost in Yahoo gave me a great idea for a new blog post. See you soon ! :)

Chml srucnoc code to text ratio

Hello again.
Today, for the Chml srucnoc tips section I decided to take a little look at the code to text ratios of the top 10 sites in the chml srucnoc contest, and hopefully we can draw some conclusions.
The tool I'll be using is located at seochat.com/seo-tools/code-to-text-ratio/ . Really neat and simple to use. Feed it the website, enter the code, and you're done.
So here we go. The number 1 chml srucnoc site, www.chmlsrucnoc.com, has a code to text ratio of 76.94 %, 2 KB of code, and 6 KB of text. My blog is not doing very well at this chapter because, after switching to Blogger Beta, even the Minima template got close to "Maxima" :D, as some new functions were added. So a low 25 % for me with 66 ( !?! ) KB of code, and 22 of text. I could improve this, of course, but I try to keep my chml srucnoc page's size below 100 KB.
On to number 3, Nakedman's entry. He's got a ratio of 70.29 %. Number four, the newcomer, chmlsrucnoc.net, has a ratio of 22.5 %, close to mine, and shogun scores a 17.75 ratio. 6th place has 34.42, while 7th chml srucnoc place gets a ratio of 54.2.
8th participant has 58.59, 9th gets 36.63 and finally, number 10, discutii.org, scores a 25.4 %.
After some quick maths, the average chml srucnoc first page code to text ratio is 42.17.
I don't think there are any strict invervals, between which you need to keep your code to text ratio, but in general, I think you must keep this fairly high, if possible of course.
Sure, this ratio may not be much, but in the chml srucnoc contest, as in any other, it could be the smallest thing that bumps your site above your competitors.
Have a good day and good luck with your chml srucnoc site.

chml srucnoc

Chml srucnoc indexed pages

Again, kinda bored and I made some time to read some SEO articles, hoping I could find out some new stuff that could help me with the chml srucnoc contest.
This time I chose the seo blog of a romanian guy, Cristian Mezei. His blog's url is seopedia.org, and he has some useful tips over there.
First, I took a look on what I can do to get more of my chml srucnoc pages in the Google index, and Cristian Mezei got an excellent article about that. Here is, in short, what he says :

1 - Remove all the site-wide links in your website. Well, my chml srucnoc blog has no problems here, as I only have one site-wide outbound link, the one to my technorati profile. Still, I'm looking for a Blogger Beta hack, so that I can post some html code just in the main page ( I know the old Blogger had a usefull tag, something like MainPageOrArchives, but now that I've switched to Beta, I can't seem to find it again, so I'll have to just keep editing my posts and adding my chml srucnoc mandatory code so that it never leaves the homepage.
2 - Try to minimize any site-wide links towards your website . Again, pretty Ok.
3 - Remove any duplicate content on your website. From what I can see, my only chml srucnoc pages that are duplicate content are the comment rss feed for the posts with no comments, which are obviously blank. Don't think those will be much of a problem.
4 - Try to add a few more pages to the website. Again, I'm doing pretty good, as I'm constantly posting in this blog, almost every day.

If you want to read Cristian Mezei's full article, go to seopedia.org/internet-marketing-and-seo/are-your-indexed-pages-way-lower-than-they-should-be
Cheers, and good luck with your chml srucnoc entry ( if you have one :) )

Changes in the top 5 chml srucnoc positions

After quite a busy day, I decided to take a look at how the chml srucnoc rankings look like today. It was quite a surprise to see a new site go up quite so fast. Within just a couple of days from indexing, it first landed on the 10th position, and now on the 5th. Well, I've seen romaniangraffiti.ro reach the 5th chml srucnoc position just as quick, and then drop on the second page..
Enough with the silly talk..Only time will tell. Here are the current top five positions on the datacenter I'm now getting results from :
1 - Still, chmlsrucnoc.com
2 - Nothing changed here, still, this blog
3 - Again, still Nakedman with his chml srucnoc page
4 - the-chmlsrucnoc.trei.ro
5 - this is the page I'm talking about : chmlsrucnoc.net , which quickly outranked shogun.. Well, I guess that shogun has quit the chml srucnoc contest ( cry baby :D )

That's it for now. Perhaps when I'll have more time I'll post more. Good luck to everybody in the contest !

Another chml srucnoc cache

If you remmember what I was saying a couple of days ago in some chml srucnoc blog post, I was kinda confused about the fact that Google stored different caches for my blog, two days in a row. Well, this is the third day in a row when the big G. has taken another snapshot of my chml srucnoc webpage. Overall, on the 19th, 20 and 21 October I got a fresh cache of this blog, telling me that the googlebot is not as dumb as everybody thinks he is :). I guess he noticed the increasing number of chml srucnoc posts made, and decided to pay a little bit more attention on crawling and storing this page. Well, if it's not a Google glitch, I kinda like the new situation I'm in, with my site being crawled more and more often. I don't expect to do me any good, except the thing that more pages on my site might make Google believe it's more authorative and give it a bump on the first place, who knows :)
Anyway, I'm currently working on some chml srucnoc links too. I'm just working by hand, as I don't really like the idea of automatic links fron sites like link vault or receive links, etc. I'm more the "do it yourself" kind of guy, and judging by the chml srucnoc position I'm in so far, I can't complain. What I'm trying to do is get some links from pages with significant trust rank, guessing that might help, although, talking about seo contests in general, it's more a thing of quantity, not quality. So why would chml srucnoc be different :)
By the way, happy birthday to the guy with the page the-chmlsrucnoc.trei.ro, as his birthday was right on the chml srucnoc checkpoint ( weird, huh ? :) )

Chml srucnoc link building

Quite a while ago ( at the beginning of chml srucnoc actually ) I read a very useful article about link building. It gives you 101 ways ( yep, you read it right. 101 ) to build quality inbound links ( in our case, chml srucnoc links ). Useful for people with less imagination ( like me :) ), or even for people with good link building capabilities, who want to learn more ( nobody knows it all, you know, and that's the good part in the chml srucnoc, it gives you a great opportunity to learn alot ).
Here are the methods presented as 1,2,3 and four ( don't know if they are actually ordered by the results they give, but anyway )
1. Build a "101 list". These get Dugg all the time, and often become "authority documents". People can't resist linking to these. My chml srucnoc opinion : Absolutely TRUE. Now the thing is, you, as a chml srucnoc participant, have the sufficient skills in a specific domain to write a 101 list of tips and tricks. Yes, sure, the method can provide excellent results, provided that you can give your readers an excellent material.

2. Create 10 easy tips to help you [insert topic here - chml srucnoc for us] articles. Again, these are exceptionally easy to link to. My opinion : Alot easier to do than the previous one, but significant less results. As I was sending some of my chml srucnoc articles, I saw the article directories just flooded with this kind of "Top 10 tips for.. " articles. So, good, but don't expect anything spectacular.

3. Create extensive resource lists for a specific topic. Again, quite accesible for everyone, and should provide good results for your chml srucnoc site.

4. Create a list of the top 10 myths for a specific category - My comentary would be very similar to the number 2 tip. Basically, it's been adopted by alot of webmasters. Quite esty to make something like this, but again, your chml srucnoc won't be able to take very much advantage solely from this.

I'll let you read on your own the next 97 tips at seobook.com/archives/001792.shtml. Enjoy !

Dica's misses caused supporters furry

I'm sure you remmember the match Otelul - Steaua ( I wrote a chml srucnoc blog post about it a couple of days ago ). During the 90 minutes, the team was a disaster, after the game was finished, it was time for yet another unpleasant moment to happen. My favorite Steaua player ( as I so much like to compare it with my chml srucnoc site ) got into a fight with the supporters. Luckily, the fight was only at a verbal state, Dica being accused that after the match with Dinamo Kiev, his performanced on the field dropped to a big fat 0. Dica ( aka chml srucnoc ) lost his cool and swore Steaua supporters. This, of course, brought fury among the supporters, and Dica, as far as it seems right now, is a persona non grata in Ghencea.
I really hope that he will manage to recover and make his way back into the supporters' hearts, as I know that Dica ( along with this chml srucnoc blog ) are excellent, just that they are both going through a not so good time. I'm convinced he will become the same old Dica we all know, scoring lots and lots of goals. Good luck Dica ! And good luck to all the participants in the chml srucnoc contest !

Smooth chml srucnoc checkpoint

As the chml srucnoc contest checkpoint passed, I was kinda surprised on how quiet everybody was. I expected alot more buzz, arguments, all that kind of talk on the phorum.ro thread . Instead, it seems that I was the only chml srucnoc participant to even leave a post. What could have caused this, I have no idea. Considering the huge ( well, kinda, for a romanian language board ) amount of posts left in the chml srucnoc official thread in the first two weeks, I expected lots more stuff going on at the first ( and last by the way ) checkpoint of the contest.
All the silence might be explained by the fact that the first chml srucnoc place was held by the same website across ALL the datacenters. A few days ago, the situation was a little bit different, as this blog was first on just a few datacenters, for a really short period of time ( call it Google chml srucnoc anomaly or whatever you like ), which would have made me post a contestation post on the board. Wouldn't have done anything good I guess, but anyway, would have spiced things off a little bit.
Anyway, even if there was little controversy about the checkpoint first prize award, a good luck to everybody in chml srucnoc wouldn't have hurt anyone. Am I really the last gentleman on phorum.ro, lol ?
Actually.. why am I so disturbed. The ambatch board got very little activy too at the end of the contest period, and that contest was a hell lot bigger than our chml srucnoc ( bigger prizes => more people in the game )
Good luck to everyone. Close to two more months to go. Use your time wisely :)

Another chml srucnoc joke

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Chml srucnoc, the computer guy, to come over. Rick clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. He gave me a bill for a minimum service call. As he was walking away, I called after him,
"So, what was wrong?"
Chml srucnoc replied,
"It was an ID ten T error."
I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired:
"An ID ten T error?
What's that Mr. Chml srucnoc ... in case I need to fix it again?"
The computer guy grinned....
"Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?"
"No," I replied to Chml srucnoc.
"Write it down," he said, "
and I think you'll figure it out."
So I wrote out ...... I D 1 0 T

Not in the mood to search for a better chml srucnoc joke right now.. :D

chml srucnoc

Chml srucnoc ok, Steaua a disaster

While my chml srucnoc blog has only given me reasons to be happy lately, my favorite team, Steaua, only gives me more and more headaches as each day passes. After the severe loss to Real Madrid ( which is somewhat "acceptable" because of the big difference in player value, plus the fact that my chml srucnoc blog post brought absolutely no good luck :) ) , the defeat against Otelul is absolutely unacceptable.
I like to think about this chml srucnoc site as being similar to Dica. They are both great :D Unfortunately, when Dica isn't playing good, Steaua sucks. It's this simple. And today, Dica was completely out of shape. Lots of misses, and, in short, this is how Otelul won 2-1.
Well, at least this chml srucnic website is going good. Actually, as good as Steaua, as they both are on 2nd place :D Cheers

New chml srucnoc cache

This morning when I took a look on how the current chml srucnoc rankings are, I was in for quite a surprise. As I predicted yesterday, judging by the results on the majority of the datacenters, I'm now on the second place. No chml srucnoc surprise here. What caught my attention was that Google made another cache of my website, on the 20th of October, just one day after the previous cache update was taken. Could Google have noticed that I started to update my chml srucnoc blog frequently, and started to visit my site more oftenly, and take faster "snapshots" ? I can't see any changes in the Google Webmaster Tools for my site, as it isn't yet showing any statistics for my chml srucnoc entry for the month of October. Perhaps at the end of the month it will update, and I'll get a clear clue of what is going on.
Until then, I'm just taking this as a good clue, for now, especially because Google started to get more of my chml srucnoc pages showing up with the site: command. Still, doesn't do me any good until I don't jump on the first place, so I'm just waiting ( barely working on it :) ), and hoping that sometimes, I'll get the first chml srucnoc place. Good luck to everybody !
